[ID:0144] Copy and Paste Issue in Excel

Technology: Hyperion Essbase, Essbase Excel Add-In, Smartview, Microsoft Excel

Definition: After installing the Essbase Excel Add-in or Smartview, users still using previously created Excel spreadsheets might have problems using the “Copy” and “Paste” functions of Excel between different sheets. (Even when using non Essbase connected sheets)

Solution: To solve that problem, you can either disable the Essbase Excel Add-in and Smartview, or you can follow the following steps:
1. In Excel, open the Excel you are having trouble copying and pasting data, and click on the Office button, then select Excel Options:
2. Select “Advanced”, then uncheck the two Lotus compatibility Settings Options at the bottom
and Click OK:

You should now be able to copy and paste data from that spreadsheet to another.
